Reverend Rik Peckham

Parochial Church Council
St Andrew Apostle and Martyr, Broadhembury

By now, will hopefully be aware that Reverend Rik Peckham is retiring at the end of next month.

Although he has lived in Dunkeswell for his 6 year tenure, to his eternal credit, he has managed to maintain a close relationship with all the parishes in the Dunkeswell Mission Community. Despite the enormous burden of looking after, initially five and latterly six, widely dispersed parishes, his enthusiasm in leading worship, and his pastoral care for all has never faltered.

On behalf of the PCC, we are writing to invite you to celebrate his retirement at a 6 Worship Together Service at St Mary’s Church, Upottery on Sunday 30th July at 11am and to contribute towards his farewell gift.

The 6 parishes have agreed to ‘pool’ the contributions and give Rik a single gift from us all. Rik has expressed an interest in a particular bookcase for his and Elaine’s new home in Minehead. Any surplus money will be given to him to spend as he wishes.

We hope you will be able to join us on the 30th July but even if you cannot make it, please feel free to pass any contribution for the farewell gift to Cecile Critchell, Jean Walters or myself at Church, or you can drop them in to Weaverbrook House, Kerswell at any time.

Yours sincerely,

Bill Sivewright and Cecile Critchell
